FTW plugin terms

Updated 26 October 2026

These terms cover the FTW plugin and its connection through FTW Cloud in any AI assistant, such as Grok Bot, Cursor, Claude, ChatGPT or Codex, whether you install the plugin or add the FTW connection by its address. Sourceful Labs AB (reg. no. 559382-0458), Kalmar, Sweden, provides the integration.

What the plugin provides

The plugin offers FTW setup guidance and, for an authorized home, tools to explain readings, plans and equipment health. It takes no payments and offers no purchases. Your assistant account, a suitable FTW host and any equipment or network services you use have their own requirements and terms.

Your home and your approval

Connect only a home you own or have permission to use. Review the rights and expiry before approving an assistant in FTW. You can end its access in FTW. Reading does not grant control. Short actions stay within the approved limits; requests for lasting goal changes wait for the owner's approval.

Setup help needs a separate setup grant, which the owner approves on the box. With it, the assistant can find and test devices when you agree, and save setup settings after you confirm the exact change. The connection cannot install software on your host.

Check readings and advice

FTW and this integration are in beta. Readings can be old or missing, plans can change and an assistant can make mistakes. Check the source, time and limits before acting. A plan, an accepted command or an estimate does not prove physical response or savings. Sourceful does not promise a particular saving or an uninterrupted beta service.

Keep the equipment's own protections in place. Use a qualified electrician for mains wiring, meters, fuses and other work that requires one. Setup guidance does not replace the manufacturer's instructions or a required professional check.

Data and access

The privacy notice explains what Sourceful handles, who receives it, how long it is held and how to exercise your rights. FTW Cloud can read assistant requests and box answers while passing them on, and keeps none of them. Sourceful does not use them to train AI models.

The company that runs your assistant processes the data it receives under its own privacy policy and the terms for your account: for example xAI and Anysphere for Grok Bot and Cursor, Anthropic for Claude, and OpenAI for ChatGPT and Codex. Ending FTW access prevents further authorized reads; it does not delete earlier conversations in the assistant.

Use only the rights needed for your task. Do not bypass another home's access checks, extract secrets or disable equipment protections.

Support and software licenses

Help follows the FTW support policy. The plugin includes no paid support plan, response-time promise or service-level agreement. The plugin's own files are published under the MIT license. FTW code and the Energyplan worker keep their separate software licenses; these terms do not replace or extend them. Your rights under applicable consumer law remain.

Changes and contact

We publish changes to these terms here with an updated date. Review a new request for access before accepting its rights. Contact [email protected] for questions. The terms for the FTW plugin for ChatGPT as submitted to OpenAI remain available.
